The official Twinning Ceremony was conducted on 17th June 2023 during BPW Hong Kong’s Summer Retreat at The Helena May. Representatives from both clubs signed the sisterhood certification and pledge for constant cultural and business exchange opportunities. Sherie Ma, our Young BPW Representative in action in the JCI Bauhinia’s SheLeads STEM Project Opening Ceremony! BPWHK is devoted to empower more girls in all professions! On behalf of BPWHK, Sherie was receiving the appreciation certificate as the supporting organization. It is such an aspiring project to encourage more young ladies to engage in STEM.

BAMEI CHANG, Programme Chair, represented BPWHK in the 3rd BPW ASIA PACIFIC YOUNG SYMPOSIUM on 21-23 April 2023 in Taoyuan, Taiwan. BPW Young Members from around the world gathered together to share insights on Women Leadership: Thriving In A Post-Pandemic World.

Co-hosted with Taiwan Business Association (HK) Ltd., thank you everyone for joining the gathering with BPWHK at The Social Den HK tonight in celebration of equality!

It was such an in-depth sharing from Lisa Fong, member of BPW International United Nations Sub-Committee, about gender equality and sharing the international issues discussed at the United Nations!

Dr Ching-fang CHANG, Director and Young Professional Chairman of Taiwan Business Association (HK) Ltd., also gave us insights on how Taiwan has promoted gender equality into different fields, those statistics were certainly delightful!

Apart from raising the awareness of the issues faced by females, we also had an eco-friendly fine jewellery appreciation workshop brought by Avari Woods ! Thanks for explaining how sustainability and jewellery can go hand-in-hand!

To celebrate International Women’s Day (IWD), BPWHK sisters had a meaningful tour at the HSBC Archive Hong Kong on 10th March.

HSBC’s archives are one of the most important business collections in the world, containing the historical records not only of HSBC, but also of many of the banking industry of Hong Kong.

Thank you Florence Lo, Archives Experience and Outreach, for sharing with us the overview of women in banking history and the fight for equality and progress in the past decades. We are very moved by the bank’s commitment in valuing differences, and measures to achieve a more balance and inclusive workforce. It was such a great and valuable experience for our members!
